PRSM releases 2016 best practices book for retail FM

by Brianna Crandall — April 27, 2016 — The Professional Retail Store Maintenance Association (PRSM), the authority on retail, multi-site facilities management, just released its 2016 Best Practices Book of retail facilities management case studies to help the industry improve the bottom line at retail stores, by strategically driving efficiencies through effective retail facilities maintenance business practices.

The 2016 publication includes case studies from 51 suppliers and retailers, including Nike, Gap, and Stage Stores, and suppliers such as Regency Lighting, ServiceNational Canada, Rentokil North America and Low Slope Solutions.

This year’s compilation of case studies covers more than 20 different categories including janitorial, pest control, building automation systems, and electrical and lighting. Several of the 2016 best practices focused on energy efficiency and how automated systems are revolutionizing the retail FM industry, says PRSM.

Patricia Dameron, executive director, PRSM Association, points out:

The Best Practices Book is one of the most highly anticipated PRSM resources. The publication exemplifies what can happen when facility management professionals share their knowledge, case studies and processes. PRSM is appreciative of this year’s sponsor, Rentokil North America, for recognizing the value of this year’s edition.
