by Brianna Crandall — April 5, 2017 — Hydro Systems, a Dover company and independent manufacturer of proportioning and dispensing systems distributed worldwide, has just unveiled its Water-Driven Pump HydroGuide, an online tool that helps users determine which water-driven pump (WDP) best meets their needs. Water-driven pumps can be used in a variety of different environments and in many different applications within those environments, notes the company; therefore, using the appropriate pump requires proper guidance.
Hydro Systems’ chemical proportioners, dispensers and injectors are used to save time and costs and increase safety and efficiency in such markets as cleaning and hygiene (providing accurate and safe dilution range and flow rates for sparkling floors and streak-free glass, and for applications from refrigerated grocery cases to automatic carwashes); laundry and warewash (in educational, restaurant, athletic and health-care facilities and more); industrial (such as metalworking and food-processing facilities, and pest control and odor control); and others.

Choosing the right WDP is a complicated process because there are numerous technologies available and because certain technologies can only be used in certain situations. As a market leader in WDPs, we have years of experience with which pumps have the best chance for long term success. We incorporated this knowledge into the tool to make the buying decision easier for customers.
The HydroGuide allows users to find information about the proper water-driven pump in several ways. Visitors can input a competitive part number, and the tool will highlight the closest equivalent Hydro Systems part number. Alternatively, users can also select the application (animal health, horticulture, jansan, etc.) for their WDP, as well as sub-applications.
Additional criteria such as the chemical being used, inlet pressure, flow rate, and/or dilution rate can also be selected. Based on Hydro Systems’ years of field experience, the tool guides the customer to the right product, providing the model number and information such as inlet/outlet sizing.
