Simplify your multifamily or dorm turnover with this app-controlled thermostat

by Brianna Crandall — January 31, 2018 — SaaS provider STRATIS has just announced that it will use global technology provider Honeywell’s Lyric Round Wi-Fi thermostat for its most advanced building-wide thermostat control in multifamily and student housing. With this integration, STRATIS continues to lead the way in enabling connected IoT devices in apartments. STRATIS recently installed its 200,000th unit in the US, covering 40 states.

The STRATIS SaaS platform enables residents to interact with their connected devices, including Honeywell’s Lyric Round Wi-Fi thermostat (shown here), through a single app.

The STRATIS software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform consolidates the challenge of centralized control, multiple log-ins, and multiple mobile applications for connected devices by enabling residents to interact with their connected devices, including Honeywell’s Lyric Round Wi-Fi thermostat, through a single STRATIS Mobile app. When residents move in, they seamlessly and automatically gain access to all appropriate building and unit locks and smart devices in their unit. When they move out, device control reverts to Property Management mode via the STRATIS Property Management App, providing a rapid return on investment for the property.

Felicite Moorman, STRATIS CEO, remarked:

We are thrilled to work with Fortune 100 leaders like Honeywell. Our development team took an in-depth look at all of the smart thermostats and we were extremely impressed with Honeywell’s consumer-centric approach and legacy, producing a variety of solutions, which we are integrating to serve multifamily and student housing.

Nick Dalsin, lead IOT Partnership Development at Honeywell Homes, commented:

We are excited to be working with STRATIS to bring the promise of IoT and connected home solutions to both residents and owners within multifamily. Ensuring a smooth user experience is core to driving success for connected consumers.

STRATIS CEO Moorman added:

STRATIS solves the unique challenges of this market. Property owners and managers want differentiating and efficiency-optimizing technology, without having dozens of sign-ins, log-ins, and subsequent learning curve. Residents prefer the simplicity as well, and are the natural beneficiaries of the efficiencies created by installing building automation property-wide with smart-home technologies in the unit.

The first combined project between the two companies was installed at 33 Tehama (formerly 41 Tehama) in San Francisco. 33 Tehama is touted as a defining new residence with a collection of modern apartments and penthouses that bring truly cosmopolitan living, sophisticated design, and unrivaled amenities in an “incredible” SoMa location. The 35-story property has 483 STRATIS IoT-enabled units, including 483 Honeywell Lyric Round Wi-Fi thermostats.
