by Shane Henson — June 7, 2013—Via Seating, a Nevada-based manufacturer and distributor of a variety of chairs, recently announced its new motion seating division, Feel Good Factors, which will be the North American distributor for Germany-based motion seating manufacturer aeris-Impulsmöbel. Feel Good Factors will distribute the German-engineered Swopper and Muvman active sit-and-stand products.

Swopper and Muvman were on display at the NeoCon 2013 contract furnishings show June 10-12 in Chicago. Muvman won the Silver Award in the Seating: Ergonomic Desk/Task category in the prestigious Best of NeoCon Competition at the event.

“Motion is key to improving health for employees who sit or stand for long periods of time at work,” said Nora Fenlon, vice president of sales and marketing for Via Seating. “Our German counterpart will help us advance our ‘movement philosophy’ through innovative motion seating products.”

When aeris-Impulsmöbel introduced Swopper, the motion-based chair/stool garnered worldwide recognition for its design and function. Swopper, touted as the first-ever seat in the world that moves in all three dimensions, was a Best of NeoCon winner at its first showing in the United States. The next iteration of active seating was Muvman, an interactive solution for sit-to-stand applications introduced at NeoCon last year.

“Via is a well-established, respected manufacturer of seating in the United States that shares our commitment to forward-thinking design and the quality of German engineering,” said Susanna Kindler, COO and director of marketing for aeris-Impulsmöbel. “We look forward to giving North American customers an opportunity to work differently—moving more intentionally and blurring the line between sitting and standing.”

Swopper and Muvman will be on display at the NeoCon contract furnishings show in Chicago from June 10-12.
