See how ISS is offering simple, centralized integrated facility services for this international production company while tailoring solutions to individual sites

by Brianna Crandall — January 19, 2018 — Global facility services provider ISS Group recently signed a new integrated facility services contract with an international production company and renewed a contract with technology giant Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

International production company

ISS entered into a five-year partnership with a large international production company in the food and beverage segment. The partnership covers integrated facility services at more than 280 facilities, including offices, warehouses and production facilities, in 20 countries across Europe.

The operation will be phased in starting February 2018, and will ramp up throughout 2018. Once fully operational, ISS will have more than 2,000 employees working on the contract.

Martin Gaarn Thomsen, ISS Group COO, remarked:

We are very excited about entering into this partnership. Under this strategic long-term relationship, we will work closely with our customer to ensure compliance, reduced complexity, and cost leadership within their facility services setup, while at the same time ensure a world-class service setup for all employees and visitors.

With the new partnership, the customer will transition from a local sourcing model in facilities management (FM) to a regional and centralized setup. ISS will be the sole supplier of facility services, which will mean a simple and transparent service setup, says the Group.

With ISS’s integrated model, the aim is to create synergies between the individual service areas and with a high level of self-delivery, ISS’s more than 2,000 staff will be on-site, engaging with the end-users and building up an understanding of the customer’s needs locally as well as across the region.

Using ISS Operational Process Framework, targeting planning, core delivery and support, ISS will tailor solutions specifically to needs down to the individual site levels.

The customer will be included in the ISS Global Key Account portfolio.

The integrated facility services contract covers a wide range of deliveries, including FM, catering, cleaning, security and reception, waste management, maintenance, facility engineering support, outdoor and landscaping, mail and parcel services, and capital project support.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise

ISS’ current integrated facility services contract with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), which was set to expire by the end of 2018, was extended to the end of October 2021. ISS has delivered integrated facility services to HPE since 2005, and the extended partnership has the same scope as the existing contract. ISS will continue the full FM delivery to HPE’s office and manufacturing facilities.

IT infrastructure

Services delivered to HPE are technical maintenance, facilities maintenance and repair, catering and hospitality services, landscaping and cleaning services, as well as a broad variety of support services (helpdesk, shuttle service, etc.).

Martin Gaarn-Thomsen, ISS Group COO, remarked:

HPE is a very important, long-standing customer of ISS, and we are very happy to be able to extend the partnership for another 34 months. Offering a flexible, transparent and consistent facility services setup, we will continue to optimize and improve our service offering on this next leg of the journey with HPE.

The services delivered to HPE are technical maintenance, facilities maintenance and repair, catering and hospitality services, landscaping and cleaning services, as well as a broad variety of support services (helpdesk, shuttle service, etc.).

Approximately 2,500 employees are engaged on the contract across more than 200 sites, including offices, customer experience centers, and manufacturing facilities in 44 countries.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise was established in 2015 when Hewlett-Packard split into two companies — Hewlett Packard Enterprise and HP Inc. Hewlett Packard Enterprise is a global technology company with a comprehensive portfolio spanning the cloud to the data center to workplace applications whose technology and services help customers around the world make IT more efficient, more productive and more secure. HPE employs approximately 45,000 employees worldwide.
