ISS will deliver maintenance, food services, reception, security, pest control, grounds, and cleaning services at two John Crane locations in Illinois as part of the new contract.

John Crane is the largest division of Smiths Group plc, a leader in the practical applications of advanced technologies delivering products and services for the threat and contraband detection, medical devices, energy, communications and engineered components markets worldwide, operating in more than 50 countries.

ISS will deliver maintenance, food services, reception, security, pest control, grounds, and cleaning services as part of this new contract. Approximately 25 ISS employees will be working on delivering the integrated facility service solution to John Crane.

ISS commenced service delivery on June 1, 2016, and the contract is now fully operational. Initially the agreement between ISS and John Crane covers two locations in Morton Grove and Crystal Lake, Illinois, but the agreement has the potential to expand to additional sites. The contract runs for five years.

Sweden — Alingsås

ISS also signed one of the largest public sector catering deals in Sweden. ISS has delivered catering services in Alingsås since 2010. Now the relationship has been expanded through an agreement that involves the delivery of over 9,000 meals daily in the municipality.

ISS signed one of the largest public sector catering deals in Sweden, expanding its relationship with Alingsås to deliver over 9,000 meals daily in the municipality to various types of facilities.

ISS says the agreement is unique as it relates to the supply of food to a range of services: childcare, education, healthcare, and elderly care, plus it includes a special partnership and collaboration clause, which enables ISS and Alingsås to work together to further develop meal delivery and ensure continued high quality. ISS says this is the first time such a clause has been included in a contract for public sector catering services in Sweden.

The new agreement will begin January 5, 2017, and run five years, with an option to extend for a further two years. The agreement is worth approximately SEK 70 million annually and will employ approximately 100 people.
