by Brianna Crandall — February 26, 2018 — UG2, a rapidly growing provider of integrated facilities services and solutions, has signed a multi-year agreement to provide comprehensive green janitorial and ancillary services at Stanford University.

As of January 1, UG2 services Stanford University’s academic facilities with 230 employees, working in 215 buildings, which encompass approximately 5.5 million square feet of cleanable space. UG2 was able to seamlessly transition within six weeks.

UG2 programs and equipment introduced at Stanford include:

  • Supply chain expertise for all aspects of the facilities services program in order to implement best practices, and industry-leading technology, tools and methods;
  • A sustainable, limited waste, chemical system that works independently from the public water supply;
  • Floor and carpet steam cleaning systems and equipment to sustainably restore flooring and upholstered furniture;
  • Equipment to optimize floor scrubbing and refinishing.

The facilities services contract was awarded by Stanford’s Land, Buildings and Real Estate department (LBRE).
