CGI-AMS to market health-risk assessment system

June 6, 2005—CGI-AMS Incorporated (CGI-AMS), the wholly-owned US operating subsidiary of CGI Group Incorporated, announced that it has signed an agreement with ExxonMobil Biomedical Sciences, Inc. (EMBSI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corporation (ExxonMobil), to become the exclusive provider of the EMBSI Exposure Assessment System (EAS). EAS uses a risk-based approach to assess potential industrial health hazards from chemical, physical and biological agents.

CGI-AMS will offer this Web-enabled industrial health management system along with a full range of systems integration, consulting and hosting services. EAS will allow industrial hygienists to manage and centrally record workplace exposure/health risks using an ongoing process developed for changing operating conditions.

CGI-AMS has also reached an agreement with the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), the premier industrial hygiene professional association, to permit CGI-AMS to promote and market EAS to AIHA members and is licensing the use of the AIHA name, acronym, and logo in connection with this product. EMBSI modeled the EAS after AIHAs exposure assessment strategy, a published best practice designed to bring a systematic approach to managing industrial hygiene programs. AIHA also offers members and other professionals a full catalog of books, software, and other resources related to occupational and environmental health and safety.
