FMs and cleaning staff can learn best practices and view the latest products at this new ISSA end-user cleaning event

by Brianna Crandall — March 21, 2018 — Worldwide cleaning industry association ISSA and Trade Press Media Group, co-owner of the NFMT family of shows and publisher of popular facilities and cleaning industry magazines and Web sites, just announced a new trade show for the commercial cleaning industry — Clean Buildings Expo (CBE). This joint venture will make its debut next year at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD, March 26-27, 2019.

Designed for end-users of cleaning products and equipment, CBE fills an immediate need for education and product information in the building-rich Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states, says ISSA. Show organizers anticipate approximately 1,200 key decision-makers from health care, education, government, and hospitality facilities, as well as building service contractors, to attend the two-day event.

CBE will be co-located with the annual National Facilities Management and Technology (NFMT) Show Baltimore.

ISSA Executive Director John Barrett remarked:

ISSA’s strong relationship with cleaning equipment and technology suppliers and the success of our annual North America and other worldwide trade shows will encourage a wide variety of exhibitors to participate in this exciting new expo. Exhibiting companies will include manufacturers, leading industry suppliers of floor and carpet cleaning equipment, chemicals, restroom supplies, and green cleaning products as well as leading providers of cleaning and facility-maintenance services. CBE promises to be a very synergistic event.

Jeff Schenk, CEO and president of Trade Press Media Group, is equally enthusiastic about the new venture. Schenk commented:

There is an unserved need in the commercial cleaning industry in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic area, and this event closes that gap. The location and timing of the show will appeal to many significant buyers.

CBE will also host a robust educational conference with more than 25 informative sessions addressing operational best practices, staffing and management strategies, and cleaning technologies. Curated by ISSA in collaboration with Trade Press, the agenda will feature subject matter experts from a wide range of stakeholders in the cleaning industry, including building service contractors, in-house cleaning executives, and industry consultants.

ISSA Education, Training, Certification and Standards Director Brant Insero added:

Education, training, and certification are the lifeblood of the industry. Proper training and valid certifications can empower your staff to learn, grow, succeed, and invest in the growth of other industry professionals. ISSA and Trade Press are committed to elevating the standards of professionalism in the cleaning and maintenance industry, and the education sessions at CBE will deliver on that commitment.
