The new Cyclone LV design is the latest advancement for the industry leading Cyclone family of condensing gas water heaters. A. O. Smith’s new modulating process adjusts the burner’s firing rate to a specific demand, which further increases energy efficiency and dramatically lowers operating costs. These units create a larger footprint and increase efficiency, allowing contractors to spec two Cyclone LV units for every four Cyclone Mxi.

Matt Schulz, senior product manager of commercial new products at A. O. Smith, remarked:

The Cyclone family revolutionized the market in 1996 and provided innovation that we still build on today. With the introduction of Cyclone LV, installers and contractors can expect the same high efficiency and cutting-edge technology with an increased footprint allowing for even better energy savings and ease of installation.

Additionally, the Cyclone LV features advanced electronic control with built-in diagnostics, iCOMM is a compatible network, ready for remote monitoring. Other features of the LV model include maneuverability and ease of installation due to its lightweight design and expanded footprint, a helical coil heat exchanger that maximizes heat transfer for optimal service life, and the PermaGlas glass-lining process that provides superior tank protection against corrosion.

The Cyclone LV is available for purchase via your local wholesaler or by visiting the A. O. Smith website. The company designs, builds, distributes and supports a broad, deep line of residential and commercial water heaters, as well as commercial boilers. This single-source concept is said to simplify ordering, and installation and service are backed by 80 years of research and innovation.
