Interface products are GreenCircle Certified
Many Interface products carry the GreenCircle Certified Environmental Facts label, which has verified that standard Interface products offer a minimum of 66% and 80% total recycled content when backed with GlasBac® and GlasBacRE backing respectively, using 99% renewable energy. GreenCircle evaluates the environmental claims of a product or operational system through a rigorous process that relies on recognized standards such as NSF/ANSI, ISO and ASTM. And all product claims must be recertified annually.
Certified Platinum and Gold level with NSF/ANSI 140 Sustainable Assessment for Carpet
The only carpet sustainability standard in North America that evaluates the environmental impact of carpet for its entire life cycle.
Our carpet and LVT products are recyclable through our ReEntry program
Through ReEntry®, separated Type 6 and 6,6 nylon are recycled into new 6 and 6,6 nylon while separated GlasBac®, GlasBac®RE and similar competitor backings are recycled into new GlasBac non-virgin PVC backing using our Cool Blue™ technology – resulting in products with up to 89% total recycled content, including as much as 27% post-consumer content. Our LVT is produced with a material stream to be reclaimed and recycled into our GlasBac® RE recycled content backing.
Our LVT is FloorScore certified for low offgassing (low VOCs)
All Interface modular flooring products meet the highest standards for indoor air quality. Our LVT is FloorScore® Certified to emit very low emissions of VOCs, so you can breathe easy. FloorScore is the most recognized indoor air quality (IAQ) certification standard for hard surface flooring materials, adhesives, and underlayments.
LVT certified Silver with NSF/ANSI 332 Sustainability Assessment for Resilient Floor Coverings
This is the foremost standard that evaluates and certifies the environmental impact of resilient floor covering for its entire life cycle. The certification employs a point system to include the following metric areas: product design, product manufacturing, long-term value, end-of-life management, corporate governance and innovation.
The Net-Works Program
Net-Works® supports Interface’s Mission Zero® goal to source 100% recycled material for its carpet tile. Interface has partnered with the Zoological Society of London to buy discarded fishing nets from some of the poorest communities in the world. The nets are recycled into new yarn for our carpet tiles by Aquafil. The benefits? Fewer ghost nets, less virgin materials and a new source of income for the communities.

Global hand dryer manufacturer
High-speed, energy-efficient hand dryers
World Dryer has designed high-speed hand dryers that use 88 percent less energy than traditional hand dryers and reduce energy consumption even further with fast dry times. Current models provide on-off heating controls, so if heat is not required, the hand dryer is even more energy efficient. Over its lifetime, a high-speed hand dryer produces three tons less CO2 than the production of the paper towels it replaces—saving the resources required to make paper.
99% cost savings vs. paper towels
When high-speed hand dryers replace paper towels in the restroom, you eliminate the cost of purchasing, inventorying and restocking towels—adding up to significant savings on time and energy. High-speed hand dryers, and can pay for themselves in just 6 to 18 months while delivering energy-efficiency in a number of ways. For example, today’s new generation of hand dryers dry hands in just 10 to 12 seconds—up to three times faster than traditional models.
Long-term economic and environmental savings
A sustainable approach for a facility’s restroom can reduce labor and maintenance costs in one year. One large convention center has saved $50,000 a year by switching to high-speed hand dryers. Additionally, creating sustainable improvements by eliminating paper products can help meet LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) requirements for facilities. High-speed energy efficient hand dryers reduce energy consumption. Lower energy consumption means a reduced environmental impact long-term.
It takes 7,000 gallons of water and 158 million BTUs of energy to produce one ton of recycled paper, which adds 60 pounds of pollutant into the air. By switching to high-speed energy efficient hand dryers, facilities with consistent traffic in the restroom can reduce waste by up to 90 percent. While it is possible to make paper towels from recycled paper, they are rarely recycled, creating millions of cubic feet of waste in landfills.
