by Brianna Crandall — October 10, 2016 — International outsourcing association IAOP and intelligence advisor Information Services Group (ISG) recently announced that CBRE Group, a global commercial real estate services company, will be honored as the winner of the fifth annual IAOP/ISG Global Outsourcing Social Responsibility Impact Award (GOSRIA). In 2012, CBRE was the recipient of the inaugural GOSRIA Award. Accenture was awarded the second annual award, and ISS received both the third and fourth.
CBRE was selected as this year’s recipient based on a number of achievements, including becoming the first carbon-neutral global real estate outsourcing firm, markedly increasing corporate and employee giving to charitable and community organizations, and significantly expanding and improving its ethics and compliance program.
CBRE’s approach to corporate responsibility in outsourcing is widely recognized as an integral part of the firm’s business conduct, says IAOP. As reportedly the world’s largest real estate services company, CBRE takes seriously its impact on clients, suppliers, employees, communities and stakeholders. The company’s RISE values (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence) are fundamental to its approach and success, helping to set a culture that enables CBRE to be not only profitable but to fulfill responsibilities as a corporate citizen, consciously focusing attention on the areas where the company can make the greatest impact.
The award will be presented to CBRE during the 2017 Outsourcing World Summit in San Antonio, Texas. ISG will make a cash donation in the name of CBRE to its chosen charity, CBRE Cares, which will be allocated to its disaster relief mission. CBRE was also honored at ISG’s recent Sourcing Industry Conference (SIC) for service provider representatives at the Westin Stonebriar Resort in Frisco, Texas.
IAOP and ISG established the Global Outsourcing Social Responsibility Impact Award (GOSRIA) in 2012 to recognize service provider excellence in corporate social responsibility. The winner demonstrates exemplary leadership in, and ongoing commitment to, activities that foster community involvement, fair operating and labor practices, respect for human rights, attention to environmental impacts, consumer issues and good governance.
CBRE was selected from among applicants for IAOP’s 2016 Global Outsourcing 100 by an independent judging panel.
