Interactive Touchscreen Solutions expands wayfinding systems, data collection

by Brianna Crandall — October 19, 2016 — Interactive Touchscreen Solutions (ITS), a developer of visitor and employee communication and management systems, has expanded the features of its Navigo Wayfinding Systems and Data Collection software. The company provides turnkey visitor management solutions for private facilities in healthcare, corporate offices, universities and libraries, as well as for various government facilities throughout the United States.

Navigo Wayfinding Systems

ITS expanded its Navigo Wayfinding Systems’ Live Feed URLs. The Live Feed URLs now allow for information to be streamed directly from more third-party data feeds and seamlessly integrated with an existing Navigo display, providing attractive and presentable information that updates in real time.

With the updates to the Live Feed URL technology, customers can now stream additional third-party feeds like traffic cameras, on-campus shuttle schedules, or building maintenance systems through BACNet along with the same public transportation schedules, updates on news or weather, or locations of cars from ride-sharing services like UBER or Lyft as they did before.

Navigo 4 Data Collection software

Within the world of digital signage, the concept of information is typically a one-way street: the user searches a term or keyword, and relevant information is displayed on the screen, points out ITS. Now the company provides two-way information to customers with the Navigo 4 Data Collection software.

Interactive Touchscreen Solutions continues to provide information, but also collects information in an efficient and secure way. A user taking advantage of a retailer’s promotion or filling out forms right then and there, from right within a location, is not only possible but also simple, says the company. Customers can give their name and phone number to instantly be added to a restaurant’s waiting list, or provide their e-mail address for a store’s coupon code.

And, because the information is specific to the end-user, retailers can continue to send their customers news on their latest products and services. Both the retailer and customer can feel secure and confident that their information and privacy is protected, states the company.
