by Brianna Crandall — August 1, 2018 — The topic of agility in real estate — everything from coworking to flexible space to optimized portfolios — is on the agenda of nearly every tenant, owner and investor today. To help occupiers and investors adapt and evolve their real estate strategies to maintain a competitive advantage, global commercial real estate services and investment firm CBRE Group has launched what it says is the commercial real estate industry’s first Agile Real Estate Knowledge Hub.
The free online resource will serve as a one-stop shop to help owners, occupiers and sales professionals understand what agility means for real estate strategies and the opportunities to leverage new models and ideas across the workplace, the asset and the overall portfolio.
Beth Moore, CBRE’s Americas Agile Real Estate Practice leader, remarked:
As the world of work continues to evolve at a rapid pace, we have an opportunity as the industry leader to take a defining position on agility that will help commercial real estate professionals navigate these complex dynamics.
Moore, a CBRE veteran and proven business leader in the company’s Advisory and Transaction Services practice, was promoted to lead the Agile Real Estate Practice in May 2018. In her new role, she will help CBRE professionals educate occupiers and investors on what real estate agility can mean to them, as well as lead the development of new tools and resources that will aid these educational efforts.
Scott Marshall, Americas president, Advisory and Transaction Services|Investor Leasing, CBRE, stated:
It’s no longer enough to see real estate simply as a location or investment. Rather, investors should look to transform their assets and portfolios into agile destinations that help drive tenant and employee engagement, bottom-line performance and value creation.
Brandon Forde, executive managing director, Advisory and Transaction Services|Occupier, CBRE, added:
As the dynamics of work evolve, so too must real estate. By building agile strategies that align their real estate to their business objectives, occupiers can maintain the ability to pivot seamlessly amid change.
