by Brianna Crandall — June 17, 2019 — At the NeoCon 2019 contract furnishings show this month, Herman Miller presented All Together Now, an immersive exhibition exploring the expanding design possibilities of Herman Miller Group’s growing global family of brands. The Group’s Geiger One Casegoods also won a Silver award in the Case Goods category of the prestigious Best of NeoCon Competition.
Herman Miller Group
With recent and past brand acquisitions around the globe, Herman Miller has steadily grown its product offering and expertise, building on a legacy of timeless design and innovation. As a result, its family of brands has evolved into Herman Miller Group, which collectively offers a variety of products for the places people live, learn, work and heal.
Member brands of the globally recognized provider of furnishings and related technologies and services include Colebrook Bosson Saunders, Design Within Reach, Geiger, HAY, Maars Living Walls, Maharam, naughtone, Nemschoff and Herman Miller.
All Together Now featured a dynamic breadth of more than 450 authentic designs geared toward modern living, healing, learning, and working. While diverse in look and feel, each tailored expression was united by the Group’s belief that any space worth inhabiting is born from human-centered design.
From a decadent lounge lined with red velvet and lit by a constellation of bubble lamps, to an indoor-to-outdoor workspace teeming with flora, to a healthcare environment with interactive technology and home-inspired touches that feel far from clinical, Herman Miller Group demonstrated its range of products for almost any type of space.
Geiger One Casegoods — Silver award
The comprehensive Geiger One Casegoods kit of parts uses a versatile infrastructure with expanded color, material, and finish options that can be installed against a wall or used freestanding, and enables a level of fit, finish, and functionality that once was available only through customization options.
Geiger One creates solutions for a variety of spaces, including private offices, reception, open-plan workstations, and conferencing and collaborative areas, with height-adjustable work surfaces as the standard and a broad range of materials, finishes, and price points available.
Expanded material options allow Geiger One to be dressed up or down, and new materials such as soft-touch or thermally fused laminate provide lower-cost options. Solid woodwork surfaces as well as high-gloss acrylics for drawer and door fronts and flannel textiles for tackboards can add colorful accents.
Geiger One also provides options for embedded power access, making it possible to charge devices through the desktop or concealed within a power drawer, which features a duplex outlet and two USB ports. All drawers feature soft closure with under-mount slides.
