The Mobile Writable Surfaces collection won a Silver award in the Best of NeoCon Competition [see FMLink article] in the Office Accessories category.

The three components of the mobile collaboration collection — Hive, Pivot and ThinkTank — are premium, first-to-market mobile dry-erase surfaces designed to drive increased collaboration and communication in any space, including open office environments.
IdeaPaint launched in 2008 to enhance the way people work, learn, collaborate and create. This new mobile dry-erase line represents the next step in the journey — to inspire limitless options for people to collaborate and spark “think tanks” anywhere, anytime. The three thoughtfully designed pieces can be used solo or in combination to create a variety of work environments to fit any collaboration needs.
The functional, high-end pieces were designed in collaboration with two forward-thinking, award-winning designers: Primo Orpilla of Studio O+A, which has designed some of the most innovative offices in the world, including Uber, Cisco, Evernote and Alibaba; and master furniture crafters UHURU Design, strong believers that each piece conceived, designed, and produced should add to a greater good in the world. IdeaPaint said the collaboration was “an inspiring experience.”
The Mobile Writable Surfaces collection consists of the three components below.
- Pivot (42”x72”) is a high-performance mobile whiteboard, with the twist that it converts to a bar-height table with the simple push of a button, pivoting from vertical to horizontal in both directions. The table can also be flipped over for a fresh set of ideas. It is available in metal coated with White IdeaPaint Powder or wood coated with IdeaPaint Clear.
- Hive (42”x72”) is an attractively designed, sturdy mobile whiteboard that fits into any office environment, allowing the next level of frictionless collaboration. Featuring premium dry-erase performance, Hive is available in metal coated with White IdeaPaint Powder or wood coated with IdeaPaint Clear.
- ThinkTank Mobile represents the next generation of innovation that will enable anyone, anywhere to push the boundaries of creativity. It is a customized, ultra-light Happier Camper trailer that enables people to create a “think tank” anywhere, even on the road. Its adaptive interior design is complemented by IdeaPaint surfaces and mobile whiteboards, so whether it is parked on a campus, used as a breakout room or taken on the road, the ideas go where it goes.

In addition to the Mobile Writable Surfaces collection, IdeaPaint also introduced a high-performing magnetic wallcovering called PULL in the Wall Treatments category at NeoCon. PULL pairs with CREATE Clear, CREATE White, and PRO dry erase paint to turn any wall into a magnetic, dry-erasable idea platform. According to the company, PULL is highly durable and does not ghost or peel; seamless, with no gaps for dirt or dust to accumulate; stronger than conventional magnetic paint, and contributes toward LEED certification.
