March 5, 2004—The editors of Design Journal have announced that 20-20 Technologies has received first-place honors in the magazines Awards for Design Excellence (ADEX) competition. 20-20 CAP Studio software captured a 2003 ADEX Platinum Award for demonstrating superior product design in the category of “Software and Technology.”20-20 CAP Studio was one of more than 1,500 entrants in this years competition. It was deemed a winner by an anonymous panel of professionals representing a cross-section of design industry disciplines.CAP Studio is an integrated package of software applications that automates the design, specification, and facilities management process. It links AutoCAD-based graphics and electronic catalogs from leading manufacturers with sophisticated software tools to help users manage large design projects, reduce errors, and increase productivity. Several recent enhancements contributed to CAP Studios recognition by ADEX. In 2003, project integration with 20-20 Giza design and specification software was made possible. Also, CAP Studio Panel Builder was introduced, enabling a user to build width-independent panel configurations for stackable furniture systems.CAP Studio will be featured as an ADEX winner in the April 2004 issue of Design Journal, as well as online.
