by Brianna Crandall — November 4, 2013—The winners of the Detektor International Awards were announced October 22 in Stockholm, Sweden, with 12 security products chosen as finalists on the basis of innovation and contribution to the advancement of the security industry.
Introduced in 2000, the Award is an independent prize, with the nomination conducted by the editorial board of Detektor, the security industry magazine for the European and Middle Eastern trade market. The jury consists of nine members from three continents: Europe, Asia and America.
The 2013 winners are:
Access Control
- Best Product Award: HID for its iCLASS Seos NFC
- Highly Commended Product Award: Genetec Synergis Master Controller
- Innovative Achievement Award: Salto Systems for Clay, and Nedap for uPASS Access
Alarm and Detection
- Best Product Award: Embsec for vFence F-501
- Highly Commended Product Award: Navtech Radar for AdvanceGuard AGS1600
- Innovative Achievement Award: CSL DualCom for DualCom Calibre, and Dualtech IT for Easy Web Manager
CCTV
- Best Product Award: Sony for SNC-WR632
- Highly Commended Product Award: Pelco by Schneider Electric for Sarix TI
- Innovative Achievement Award: Axis Communications for Axis P5414-E, and Bosch Security Systems for Starlight
