by AF 0613 g3 — June 16, 2010—Advanced Planning Technologies, Inc. (APT), a leading provider of facilities management solutions, has released an updated version of its facilities management technology, NetRequest 5.0.
This update was designed to accommodate today’s complex requirements in facilities management and expands the use of technology beyond internal facility management departments, says the company. It incorporates the ability to work with outside organizations such as police and fire departments, federal and state regulatory compliance, and site maintenance personnel.
Additionally, it aims to provide complete flexibility in managing issues such as emergency preparedness, live and interactive utilization of blueprints, document archiving, and more, says the company. For the first time in facilities management, a single Web-based tool is available for use by everyone providing input and services to the facility, according to Advanced Planning Technologies.
Expanding the use of technology by others outside of the facilities management department allows organizations to operate more efficiently, cut costs, and improve communication between departments, says the company.
