by Shane Henson — June 15, 2012—AGATI Furniture, a designer and manufacturer of furniture for library, education, healthcare, hospitality and corporate markets, has partnered with T1Visions to add an interactive touch screen to AGATI’s Elements Media station. T1Visions provides interactive solutions using large-format touch screens for social and public spaces.
Elements Media with interactive touch screen allows multiple users to share content from smartphones, laptops, tablets or USB drives, says AGATI. The large screen accommodates up to four users to edit or annotate displayed content at the same time. A whiteboard feature allows users to collaborate, save that work, and then e-mail the results all from a single source.
The interactive touch screen connects to a vertical display monitor, allowing users to quickly move information or send images from the collaborative work surface to the screen. The touch screen includes applications that allow users to access the Web; connect their laptops; view photos, video or presentation files; and annotate content.
Elements Media stations that include the touch screen are great for when teamwork is needed as well as autonomy. A 360-degree rotating screen orientates to users or can split into four to accommodate each individual user. One T1Visions touch screen can take the place of four PCs or laptops. Elements Media was designed to enhance comfort by featuring AGATI’s Hampton banquette seating. Each user is provided with a properly supported seat. The Hampton’s optional panel surrounds enclose the unit for additional privacy.
By adding the Hampton banquette with cantilevered shelf, the Elements Media can double its viewing seats. Additional remote users are easily connected to the discussion through the video conferencing option, says AGATI.
