by Brianna Crandall — March 28, 2014—Facilities managers interested in seeing the latest architecture trends for all types of buildings, including sustainable features designed to optimize a building’s efficiency and operations, will want to watch a new prime-time series for public television sponsored by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Bluebeam Software.
Cool Spaces! The Best New Architecture, launching in April 2014, will profile some of the 21st century’s most exciting architecture in the United States. Hosted by Boston architect and educator Stephen Chung, AIA, each episode will focus on presenting cutting-edge, contemporary public buildings and spaces, and the daring architects who push the boundaries of design.
Viewers will learn why a building was designed, how it was designed, and what makes it special. Launching with four episodes, the series will showcase the following:
Performance Spaces:
- Dallas Cowboys Stadium (TX), HKS Architects
- Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts (MO), Safdie Architects
- Barclays Center (NY), ShoP Architects
Libraries:
