by Rebecca Walker — April 15, 2009—With the recent certification of all its seating models, Trendway Corporation announced that all Trendway standard product lines have achieved Indoor Advantage indoor air quality certification from SCS (Scientific Certification Systems).
The certification demonstrates conformance with the emissions standards of BIFMA, Indoor Air quality emissions criteria for building LEED products, environmental labeling and declaration requirements, and FTC guidelines for the use of environmental marketing claims, notes the company.
SCS Indoor Advantage certification is administered by the independent third-party certifier SCS of Emeryville, California. The certification relies on data collected through small chamber testing, which allows manufacturers to examine a product’s individual components to aid in further product development.
Trendway Corporation, an employee-owned company in Holland, Michigan, creates workplace environments through its offering of panel systems, filing, storage, casegoods, floor-to-ceiling moveable walls, and seating. For more information, see the Web site.
