The company claims that the high-performance Illustra 625 is the fastest HD PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) on the market, delivering crystal clear images quickly, whether used in live monitoring or in forensic investigations.
Based on latency testing standards used by the U.S. Air Force and NASA, the Illustra 625 PTZ camera reportedly delivers analog-like precision without compromising megapixel resolution, setting a new standard for low latency response. American Dynamics says the camera has tested 20 to 30 percent faster than the major competition and represents a “quantum leap” in bridging the performance of analog PTZ with 1080p megapixel resolution.
This speed is said to help loss prevention professionals precisely follow subjects through a store, warehouse or loading dock and apprehend them before they remove merchandise from the premises, falsify trip and slip claims, or participate in other criminal activities. The Illustra 625 HD PTZ camera actively modulates the pan and tilt speed in proportion to the amount of zoom used and reportedly surpasses the maximum speed and return-to-position accuracy of competitive HD PTZ cameras.
