American Dynamics releases VideoEdge security desktop/mini-tower for smaller-scale NVR users

by Shane Henson — June 6, 2012—American Dynamics, a provider of widely adopted video solutions for improved security and business, recently expanded its VideoEdge network video recorders (NVR) product family with the introduction of the desktop/mini-tower.

VideoEdge is a high-performance NVR that supports multi-channel audio and dual streaming for a robust enterprise video management solution. Pre-configured bundled server solutions utilize an embedded Linux operating system and Web server, as well as user, camera, network and storage management applications. The unique victor unified video management solution allows users to view and manage all of their VideoEdge NVRs, as well as any Intellex digital video recorders (DVRs) they may have—all from one intuitive interface.

According to American Dynamics, this new NVR offers users the enterprise scalability and functionality of VideoEdge in a small, simple version. Businesses such as small retail stores, banks and other commercial sites, with installations of two to 32 Internet protocol (IP) cameras, can benefit from VideoEdge’s ultra-reliable recording, integrated “always-on” motion analytics, and seamless “streaming” playback of recorded video.

The desktop/mini-tower NVR model is also ideal for larger organizations that prefer a decentralized video storage architecture. In addition to coming with built-in storage of 500GB, 1TB or as much as 2TB, the VideoEdge NVR comes with a three-year hardware warranty, including parts such as hard disks and fans.
