American Institute of Architects awards recognize innovation in educational and cultural facilities

by Shane Henson — August 29, 2012—The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Committee on Architecture for Education (CAE) has selected 15 educational and cultural facilities for this year’s AIA/CAE Educational Facility Design Awards. AIA created the competition to identify, honor, and disseminate projects and ideas that exhibit innovation and excellence.

Fifteen awards were issued in three categories: Citation, Merit and Excellence. The 2012 winners are:

Excellence Award
