by Shane Henson — September 2, 2011—AmeriPride Services Inc., a uniform rental service and linen supply company, recently announced it will be implementing new technology from JouleX, an innovator in enterprise energy management systems for data centers, distributed office environments, and facilities, to support its ongoing commitment to the environment.
AmeriPride will standardize on JouleX Energy Manager (JEM) across the company, starting with solutions for the distributed office and the data center, and then expanding to include other facilities.
JEM is reportedly the first network-based, agentless energy management system that measures the energy consumption and utilization of all network-connected devices and systems to provide visibility into power usage across the enterprise. The JEM technology reduces energy costs by monitoring, analyzing and controlling energy usage of all network-connected devices and systems with no client-side agents or hardware meters required.
Facilities personnel working within AmeriPride and other companies using the JouleX technology will likely be the first to notice how well JouleX Energy Manager boosts their companies’ bottom line through energy savings while helping them to be more sustainable in the process.
