ANSI, ASSE revise personnel and debris net standard for construction, demolition

by Brianna Crandall — December 8, 2010—The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) recently approved the A10.11 standard, Safety Requirements for Personnel and Debris Nets, which was revised by the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) A10 Committee.

The A10.11 standard provides minimum design, testing and use requirements for personnel and debris nets, and establishes safety requirements for the selection, installation and use of personnel and debris nets during construction, repair and demolition operations.

The A10 standards serve as guides and reference tools for contractors, labor and equipment manufacturers in the construction and demolition industry to help make work practices safer for all workers.

The updated versions of the A10.11 standard will be available in both print and electronic formats in the near future.
