by Shane Henson — October 1, 2012—Facilities and property managers are responsible for providing safe, efficient, and productive work environments, yet they can face a bewildering array of codes and regulations with different schedules, costs and implications for the organization. With ARCHIBUS Inc.’s ARCHIBUS V.20.2, which features a new Compliance Management application, they can now proactively manage regulatory obligations in order to mitigate risk, ensure a safe work environment, and reduce administrative burdens.

The ARCHIBUS Compliance Management application provides a highly scalable solution to efficiently negotiate the substantial data and recordkeeping involved with regulatory compliance programs and permitting processes, as well as complying with codes and best practices. For example, it helps address the Clean Air Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the European Accessibility Act, as well as ongoing regulatory requirements for elevator inspections, building occupancy, underground tanks, and much more, says ARCHIBUS, a provider of real estate, infrastructure, and facilities management solutions.

Compliance managers are called on to contain serious risks—from business interruption from a late occupancy permit, to shutdown from a failed compliance inspection, to personnel hazards from a stalled safety-training regime. The application helps managers remain compliant with myriad regulations, compliance terms, filings and inspection schedules; moreover, it reduces administrative costs while doing so. Ultimately, ARCHIBUS Compliance Management can help mitigate risk to protect an organization’s reputation and enhance stakeholder value, says ARCHIBUS.

This new revision of ARCHIBUS also provides a room reservation plugin for Microsoft Outlook, and now fully supports Autodesk’s AutoCAD 2013, AutoCAD Architecture 2013, Revit 2013, and Apple Safari and Google Chrome browsers, among other feature enhancements.

The new V.20.2 revision of ARCHIBUS began shipment in September with a simultaneous language release in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, and Simplified Chinese. ARCHIBUS solution centers and business partners will also support users with additional localized versions of ARCHIBUS, which currently include 30 editions of various earlier versions.
