ARCHIBUS wins property/lease management contract for Wisconsin state facilities

by Ann Withanee — July 18, 2011—The State of Wisconsin’s Division of State Facilities has awarded ARCHIBUS and its Business Partner Idisis a multiyear contract for implementation of a state-wide space and real property/lease management system using the latest Web-based version of ARCHIBUS, a major global real estate, infrastructure and facilities management solution provider.

The award also encompasses data migration services, including conversion of 5 million square feet of CAD data into ARCHIBUS, as well as a three-year training and support component. Now being implemented after an accelerated ten-month campaign, the ARCHIBUS solution replaces a fragmented system of spreadsheets, an aging Access database, and reliance on outside consultants to manage the state’s CAD drawing inventory.

The new system features ARCHIBUS Space Management and Real Property Portfolio Management applications, which will centralize and integrate Wisconsin’s space and lease data for both owned and leased properties, as well as calculate charge backs and lease billing for state offices. The system also includes Enterprise Move Management and Overlay with Design Management for AutoCAD & Revit applications.

The ARCHIBUS system will support a core team of approximately 20 FM professionals located in Madison, the state capital of Wisconsin. Over 500 people are expected to have access to the lease billing information.
