NeoCon 2018: If you need low-maintenance, no-polish flooring, take a look at Armstrong’s latest

by Brianna Crandall — July 2, 2018 — At this month’s 50th NeoCon commercial furnishings and interiors show, designer and manufacturer of innovative resilient and wood flooring solutions Armstrong Flooring introduced DecorArt Rejuvenations flooring, an “elegant” vinyl sheet collection comprising a versatile range of updated designs that deliver enhanced realistic visual impact and long-lasting performance to contract interiors.

The company says new visuals with exquisite detailing, combined with Armstrong Flooring’s exclusive Diamond 10 Technology coating, take the brand’s trusted heterogeneous sheet vinyl solutions to the next level of style and performance. Consisting of three unique collections — TimberLine, StoneRun and Ambigu — Rejuvenations with Diamond 10 Technology coating features more realistic, nature-inspired visuals and timeless textures. The line merges commercial and residential aesthetics, cross-pollinating colors and textures to provide a wealth of choices to fit any environment, from healthcare and education to retail and corporate.

Low-maintenance surface

The floors are engineered to meet customers’ demanding maintenance, cost and durability requirements. Diamond 10 Technology uses cultured diamonds to provide an extremely high level of scratch, stain and scuff resistance, with a finish that can stand up to the challenges of a commercial environment, such as resisting heavy traffic and staining to keep floors looking newer longer. With exceptional dirt-, scratch- and stain-resistant qualities, Rejuvenations is a low-maintenance product with a no-polish option, minimizing noise, labor and costly operational disruptions from maintenance procedures.

Collections

Armstrong Flooring designers play a key role in identifying flooring trends and translating those trends into looks that will resonate with customers. According to principal designer Razieh Council:

We’re focused on helping our customers create the right environment and the right experience for those who will be in these spaces. There is a growing shift in preference by designers who are open to hard-surface options in what were traditionally carpeted areas, primarily due to maintenance and health concerns and carpet’s limited visuals.

Rejuvenations with Diamond 10 Technology coating meets the specifier’s needs. Designers can bring warmth to healthcare applications with soothing, biophilic designs, or mix and match cheerful hues in education facilities, or bring textile visuals with the benefits of resilient flooring to corporate spaces — all while meeting the client’s budget and maintenance requirements.

DecorArt Rejuvenations collections:

  • TimberLine features woods with rustic charm with new dimensional edge detail for realistic bevels and on-trend naturals, grays and browns in popular species.
  • StoneRun showcases on-trend stone and polished concrete visuals in contemporary tones of gray.
  • Ambigu combines textures and patterns to create a rich textile look. Coordinated visuals create continuity from space to space in natural and gray tones. A new interpretation in coordinated design is introduced in new Cityscape, Urban Maze and Metropolis visuals. Reminiscent of tweed, these coordinating patterns are inspired by the textures and fashion epitomized by New York City’s famed garment district.

As part of Continuum Solutions, all three collections work seamlessly with other Armstrong commercial flooring products to create beautiful, coordinated spaces, allowing designers to choose the right flooring structure without compromising on vision. Continuum Solutions makes it easy to create the perfect palette — from a composition of muted neutrals to pairings of vivid hues that “pop.”

All Armstrong sheet products emit low levels of VOC emissions and are third-party FloorScore certified that products are tested and comply with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH v1.1) Standard Method for Testing and Evaluating Volatile Organic Chemical (VOC) Emissions. As part of FloorScore certification, manufacturing processes, supply chain, and chemical sources are verified and audited. Resilient products, and in particular vinyl sheet products such as Rejuvenations, have some of the lowest emissions in the floorcovering industry, says the company.
