AwareManager intros interactive mobile app for tenants

by Brianna Crandall — March 16, 2016—Facilities management solutions provider AwareManager has just introduced AwareManager Gateway, an interactive mobile application and companion desktop interface for building occupants to instantly connect with property management, and access building amenities from one central platform.

According to a Kingsley Associates study, nearly two-thirds (65 percent) of surveyed corporate real estate executives agree that a “building’s reputation for customer service” is a priority in a company’s space search. Responding quickly and appropriately to occupant requests is a leading indicator of a building’s overall approach to customer satisfaction and retention.

According to Jeff Thompson, executive director of AwareManager:

Tenants should be able to interact with property management without waiting for an e-mail response or returned phone call. Tenants now expect to request building services, manage expected visitors and get all important building information in one central location, directly from their mobile devices.

Available online and through iOS and Android devices, AwareManager Gateway puts building services and critical information at occupants’ fingertips. Through the mobile app, tenants can request building services; get real-time updates on entered requests; schedule expected visitors; and access procedural documentation and building notices — all in one place.

Occupant requests entered through AwareManager Gateway automatically trigger work orders that are sent to the right staffers in the building, improving response times and eliminating the administrative burden on property management teams.

In addition, property managers can use the mobile app to oversee work orders, measure vendor performance, manage contracts and resources, and measure occupant satisfaction in real time — across the board, during a specific timeframe or based on a certain work type.

“Proactive service and communication are critical if property managers want to improve tenant satisfaction and retention,” added Thompson. “AwareManager Gateway does both.”

Engineers, maintenance workers and vendors can use the mobile app to receive work orders away from their desks, work offline, manage equipment and inventory, and measure and improve vendor performance.
