by Rebecca Walker — December 10, 2008—Colledge Trundle and Hall Limited (CTH), specialists in the design and installation of automatic energy control systems for buildings, has been acquired by Balfour Beatty Workplace for 2.85 million.
CTH operates in a number of markets that are complementary to Balfour Beatty WorkPlace’s core business. Its customers include DEFRA, Sainsbury’s and the University of Cambridge and, in addition, it is working on a number of PFI schools projects.
The acquisition will enable Balfour Beatty WorkPlace to expand its service in the more complex market of energy management. Balfour Beatty WorkPlace was re-branded last month to reflect its position as a total FM provider. Its customers include British Energy, Royal Mail, the Metropolitan Police Authority, the Department for Work and Pensions and BT.
