by Shane Henson — December 19, 2012—Bendheim, a worldwide supplier of architectural and specialty glass, has unveiled its Chic Collection of decorative architectural glass. From timeless pleats and delicate crinkles to dazzling metallic hues, the collection combines the elegance of 14 contemporary textiles with the durability of Bendheim laminated safety glass, the company says.

According to Bendheim, these glasses are ideally suited for luxury hospitality, healthcare, retail, and corporate interiors. The Chic Collection’s color palette is sensual and natural. The metallic hues gravitate toward subtlety, with a pearl-like tone. Patterns range from delicate lines, layers, and crinkles to nature-inspired motifs.

Chic’s 10 translucent glasses gently diffuse light and impart a sense of privacy. They create interplay of pattern, light and color for peaceful, rejuvenating environments. The translucent glasses are designed for use in luxury decorative glass partitions, doors and windows, stair railings, balustrades, and ceilings. Laminated to mirror or back-painted, they are transformed into unique and elegant glasses for wall cladding applications.

Chic’s four opaque glasses, including the “electrified” City Night and the rich, textural silver, gold, and bronze tapestries, are ideal for feature walls, lobbies, and elevator interiors. They attract attention, infusing spaces with energy, while making a true design statement, the company says.

Bendheim can customize the Chic Collection for facilities and building managers using any of the company’s hundreds of patterned, etched, colored, and mirrored glasses to create a unique solution for special applications. The laminated glass offers safety and enhanced sound control properties. It is available in sizes up to 58″ by 120″ and in thickness of ¼”, with custom options up to ¾” thick.
