Bentley intros promis.e V8i software for electric system schematics and documentation

by Rebecca Walker — December 1, 2008—Bentley Systems, Incorporated, a leading company dedicated to providing comprehensive software solutions for infrastructure lifecycles, has introduced promis.e V8i software for automatically generating electrical system schematics and supporting documentation.

The intelligent, easy-to-use promis.e software, which can be used on MicroStation, MicroStation PowerDraft, or AutoCAD platforms, reduces electrical design time by more than 30 percent, according to Bentley. In addition, it makes the electrical design process more accurate by virtue of more than 2 million up-to-date parts in its extensive content repository.

promis.e V8i is part of Bentley’s newly launched V8i software portfolio for infrastructure. Encompassing products for all of the solution communities served by Bentley, including roads, bridges, rail and transit, campuses, factories, buildings, power generation, mining and metals, oil and gas, water and wastewater, electric and gas utilities, communications, and cadastre and land development, the V8i portfolio leverages and extends core capabilities of its new interoperability platform to provide the breadth and depth of technology needed for fully integrated project delivery. Developed as a collective whole, the V8i software portfolio facilitates streamlined workflows among multiple disciplines and across project teams throughout the infrastructure lifecycle.

Founded in 1984, Bentley has more than 2,800 colleagues, offices in more than 50 countries, annual revenues surpassing $500 million, and since 1993, has invested more than $1 billion in research, development, and acquisitions. For more information, see the Web site.
