Betco software service chosen to help grocery chain’s customers report problems

by Shane Henson — May 27, 2013—Betco Corporation, a company specializing in supporting facilities maintenance professionals, announced that Sobeys Inc., one of Canada’s largest grocery retailers, recently adopted the company’s cutting-edge smartphone technology to better manage the cleanliness and appearance of Sobeys’ stores.

Called Quick Request, the software service allows customers to use their own smartphones to report problems, request services, and provide feedback, instead of having to track down a staff member. Quick Request records all interactions automatically and notifies any issues to the appropriate staff member immediately.

Together, Sobeys Inc. and Betco are deploying Quick Request in 274 stores throughout Canada and future plans call for implementation into all of Sobeys’ stores, says Betco.

According to Betco, Quick Request can work for any industry, and its clients include universities, movie theaters, airports, hospitals, and property management companies.
