Bradley launches complete touchless hand-washing system for restrooms

by Shane Henson — March 18, 2013—Sinks and faucets can be nearly as dirty as the toilets building occupants are wary of using, making Bradley Corporation’s Advocate AV-Series Lavatory System a good choice for facilities managers searching for touchless lavatory equipment.

The Advocate AV-Series Lavatory System’s all-in-one design provides the industry’s first completely touchless hand-washing experience for a more sustainable, clean and efficient lavatory environment, claims Bradley, a U.S.-based manufacturer of commercial plumbing fixtures and washroom accessories.

As Bradley notes, facilities managers and building owners have begun to adopt touchless technology in sinks, soap dispensers and hand dryers; however, typically, at least one of these elements is housed separately or located elsewhere in the washroom. The Advocate AV-Series Lavatory System not only eliminates the need to touch a faucet, soap dispenser or hand dryer, but also the need for a person to move from sink to hand dryer with wet hands. The integrated, all-in-one solution not only delivers convenience and functionality, but ensures that water goes down the drain—not onto the floor, says the company.

The Advocate is made of Terreon and Terreon RE recycled surface material. Its hygienic faucet reduces water usage by 24 percent, and its infrared, high-speed, dual-sided hand dryer rids moisture on hands in less than 15 seconds, Bradley says. The solution features a top-fill soap dispenser that holds twice the capacity of a standard dispenser with intelligent electronics controlling for unique overfill protection. The Advocate is ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant for use in all commercial and public-facing environments, Bradley adds.
