by Shane Henson — September 21, 2012—Brickcom Corporation, a network video manufacturer in the IP (Internet protocol) surveillance industry, has released two new product lines useful for facilities owners and managers wanting to improve their surveillance of building areas.
The Brickcom 5 Megapixel Series Network Cameras provide resolutions ranging from 5 Megapixel and “real time” full HDTV video at 1080p@30fps. The complete series supports H.264, Motion JPEG and MPEG-4 in multiple streams to offer the installer different options for video settings. The 5 Megapixel Series uses a 1/2.5″ sensor designed to provide clear, sharp video in both day and night applications.
The 5 Megapixel Series is designed with powerful software features to maximize the camera’s capabilities, which allow it to adapt to variable environments while providing optimal video quality, the company says. The Intelligent Multi-Profile Sensor Management system supports five profiles, allowing users to configure multiple image parameters, such as brightness, contrast, and exposure. This will enable the camera to capture better video surveillance in changing lighting environments. The profiles can be configured to switch automatically according to the user-defined schedule. Up to three pre-set profiles (day, night, and sunset) and two user-defined profiles are provided in the camera for “unprecedented” flexibility, adds the company.
The Brickcom 5 Megapixel Series supports power over ethernet and a built-in SD/SDHC/Micro-SD card slot for a pure IP (Internet protocol) installation. With the SD/SDHC/Micro-SD card inserted, the camera can record the video locally, and the user can either play back the video clips right on the camera’s Web UI or download them for viewing at a later time. With live view, recording and playback functions incorporated into the camera, Brickcom’s 5 Megapixel Network Camera Series is a complete stand-alone surveillance system.
The MD-300N Series Superior Night Vision 3 Megapixel Mini Dome Network Camera not only has a compact and stylish design, but also provides Full HDTV video (1080p @ 30fps). The camera is incorporated with a Sony Exmor CMOS sensor, which delivers a crystal-clear video image for both day and night. IP67 certified and IK10 vandal-proof, the MD-300Np Series is perfect for outdoor surveillance, says Brickcom.
