Brickcom’s Intrusion Detection feature allows users to choose areas for the device to monitor. The device will send a real-time alert when a suspicious object or person appears in the secured zone.

Features of the Brickcom Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) technology include:

Intrusion Detection: This function allows users to choose numerous areas to trigger the device to monitor those regions. The device will send a real-time alert to the user when a suspicious object or person appears in the secured zone.

Tampering Detection: Tampering alarm technology will automatically alert security staff if the device is being damaged purposely or being interfered with, which allows staff to protect the camera from harm. The active tampering alarm detects incidents including: out of focus, scene too dark, scene too bright, and interference sensitivity.

Object Status Change Detection: This function offers users the ability to focus on several objects and set up an alert area to protect important objects. If the object status has changed, the camera will send an alarm to inform the users that the property may have been stolen or removed.

People Counting: This feature allows users to define an area and count the number of people to monitor pedestrian traffic. With real-time notification, this allows users to improve marketing strategies, facilities management, staffing, security, and more. This particular feature is applicable to the high-performance and resolution camera series only, and will be available in the fourth quarter.

The IVA technology is supported by the Brickcom high-performance and resolution camera series, universal series (VD-300Np Star, OB-300Np Star, FB-200Np and MD-300Np Star), and budget series (VD-202Ne and OB-202Ne) beginning September 2015. This brand new solution is expected to help users increase surveillance quality with an immediate notification when normal camera operation is disturbed or detects threats, benefitting users with a comprehensive and efficient event detection and alarm system at competitive prices.
