by jbs112309 d3 — November 30, 2009—The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has announced that its electronic Standards Store (eSS), a Web site for the purchase and download of U.S. and other national, regional or international standards from over 100 standards developers, now offers the complete collection of standards from the British Standards Institution (BSI) for the convenience of U.S. stakeholders.
Comprised of nearly 30,000 documents, the internationally recognized BSI body of standards addresses a wide range of topics critical to every industry. FM-related topic areas include construction and building, electrical and electronic, environmental management, occupational health and safety, sustainability, and more.
The collection also includes all of the standards developed by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC), as adopted by the British Standards Institution.
Earlier this year, ANSI announced the launch of several new dynamic features on its eStandards Store site that enhance the user’s experience, including auto-complete for document number searches, RSS feeds, and e-mail-a-friend functionality. The new capabilities make it quick and easy for eSS users to find what they are looking for, explore related information, and share their findings with their colleagues, says ANSI.
