BSRIA releases guide to condition assessment and asset data capture

by Shane Henson — January 18, 2012— BSRIA (owned by The Building Services Research and Information Association) has released a new guide, Condition Surveys and Asset Data Capture, designed to replace its Condition Survey of Building Services AG. BSRIA is a consultancy, test, instruments and research organization that provides specialist services for construction, building services and facilities management.

According to the guide’s authors, regular condition surveys and asset data capture help maintenance and facilities management staff plan for future maintenance, replacement and refurbishment needs. Condition Surveys and Asset Data Capture outlines the benefits of having a good knowledge of assets and describes how by having a greater understanding of their condition, they can be maintained in a more efficient and economical way.
