CaGBC, SABMag publish LEED review for Canadian buildings 2002-2009

by jbs040310 c3 — April 5, 2010—The Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) and SABMag (the Sustainable Architecture & Building Magazine) have released the LEED Canada Buildings in Review Supplement, the first in an annual series.

The Supplement serves as a public record of all buildings and interiors in Canada that have obtained certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), from the beginnings in 2002 to 2009 inclusive.

The publication also recognizes the achievement of LEED certification by leaders in the green building industry who are helping high-performing, healthy green buildings, homes and communities become the norm throughout Canada, says CaGBC.

The Supplement also supports the efforts of the Canada Green Building Council to demonstrate how the building industry is applying LEED in creative and successful ways, which CaGBC hopes will encourage and inspire others to adopt LEED and build on the progress that has been made.
