by Rebecca Walker — June 30, 2008—Carnegie, a leading manufacturer and innovator of textiles, is pleased to introduce Xorel Embroider, the latest addition to its revolutionary line of Xorel textiles. Technologically advanced and environmentally sound, Xorel has been widely trusted as a problem-solving material by architects and designers since its introduction in 1981.

The company has also introduced Bijou, which takes inspiration from vintage cameos, ornamental pieces of metal and stone, and lighthearted costume baubles.

Xorel Embroider, manufactured using Xorel yarn on Xorel fabric, carries on the beauty, functionality, and performance characteristics that Xorel is known for while offering a whole new look and feel for the collection, says the company. The innovation of Xorel Embroider lies in the products craft, which is clearly visible in the finished product. Patterns are worked on top of the foundation fabric using decorative stitches and laid threads. With Xorel as the underlying foundation, the line takes on an unexpected composition, while offering enough possibilities to suit a wide range of interior spaces.

Like a jewelry box, the Bijou Collection offers many treasures to adorn a vast array of furniture pieces. The Bangle, Bauble, Cameo, and Gem patterns are offered in a combined 28 colorways, while Dazzle, a luxurious plush, is offered in nine striking, yet versatile colors of its own.
