CEM Systems’ security management system to safeguard Al Bahar Towers

by Shane Henson — February 4, 2013—CEM Systems, a division of Tyco Security Products that provides advanced security management solutions, announced that its AC2000 SE (Standard Edition) security management system has been successfully installed at Al Bahar Towers, the Abu Dhabi Investment Council’s headquarters.

Already used at some of the largest facilities around the world, AC2000 SE is a powerful and fully integrated access control, alarm processing and photo badging system with a set of software and hardware features that make it one of the most comprehensive security management systems available, says CEM Systems. Innovative software features include the ability to manage biometric templates, visitor management, vehicle management and much more.

The AC2000 SE has been used to secure both of the Al Bahar Towers, as well as the shared parking, ground and mezzanine levels. A custom elevator control interface was developed by CEM allowing identification and special access for VIP users requesting an elevator call. Elevator cars are then assigned on a priority basis, the company says.

The AC2000 security management solution offers distributed intelligence for central and remote configuration.

The system at Al Bahar Towers utilizes powerful AC2000 software modules, including AC2000 Alarm Event Display (AED), which provides a real-time graphical representation of events and alarms occurring throughout the system. It also includes AC2000 Visual Imaging & Pass Production System (VIPPS), which allows the council administrators to produce professional quality permanent and temporary identification passes.
