by Shane Henson — October 16, 2013—Energy, technical and facilities services provider Cofely announced earlier this week that it has launched a new international facilities management division to be the single point of contact for existing global, multinational, and regional total facilities management (TFM) customers, as well as to coordinate all activities relating to new multinational business opportunities.
Cofely International FM Ltd. is incorporated in the U.K. with operational bases throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Asia Pacific, North America, and Latin America. The new entity is headed up by GDF SUEZ Energy Services’ International FM Director Juergen Kulka, former head of Service Management International (SMI). Kulka has more than15 years’ experience in the development of international FM solutions and is one of the pioneers of regional or global TFM portfolio deals, says Cofely.
Cofely is able to deliver total FM solutions in more than 30 countries, and already has a sizeable portfolio of major multinational FM clients, it says. The new international FM business plans to harness these national strengths to deliver seamless, consistent, multinational TFM service solutions that incorporate cultural awareness, technical excellence, and the company’s unique energy efficiency and management capability.
“This move is part of our evolving strategy to meet the needs of international customers, and allows Cofely to execute integrated facility services management solutions with competence in a market that is clearly waiting for a player with a heritage in technical expertise,” Kulka commented. “We will build on this outstanding capability in delivering technical services to develop stronger fully integrated facility service solutions to our customers.”
