by Brianna Crandall — February 5, 2014—Complete Building Services (CBS), a Washington, DC-based provider of facilities management and maintenance services, just announced that the nonprofit National Academy of Sciences (NAS) has awarded the company a five-year FM contract renewal through a competitive bid process.
Service support locations include the NAS Headquarters facility and Keck Center in Washington, DC, and a regional data center in Vienna, VA. The three sites combined total over 600,000 square feet and house over 1,100 NAS scientists and staff working to provide impartial knowledge and advice on matters regarding science and technology.
CBS will be responsible for providing full-service operations and maintenance. The scope of work includes preventive maintenance, mechanical and plumbing services, custodial services and landscaping. CBS has performed these same services for the Headquarters facility and Keck Center since 2005.
