by Shane Henson — February 13, 2013—Constellation, a supplier of power, natural gas and energy products and services nationwide and a part of Exelon Corporation, has been awarded a three-year contract with the Building Owners and Managers Association of Baltimore (BOMA Baltimore) to serve as the endorsed electricity supplier for the association’s more than 300 members.
Through Constellation, BOMA Baltimore members will have access to energy products and services, as well as educational programs, tailored to the commercial real estate industry, says Constellation, which provides businesses with fixed priced and index price options to manage their electricity costs.
Participating members will have greater flexibility to manage their portfolios since they will have the ability to opt-out individual properties from Constellation supply contracts when those properties are sold. In addition, participating members will gain access to Constellation’s energy forecasting and budgeting application, which provides building owners and managers with information on their total electricity spend, including supply and utility charges, by property, by utility or by portfolio, says the company.
Constellation anticipates that BOMA Baltimore building owners and managers will find the company’s tools and resources helpful in their energy management initiatives.
“For nearly 15 years, Constellation has worked with associations like BOMA Baltimore to develop energy management programs that meet the unique needs of their members,” said Ed Wilson, vice president of associations for Constellation. “BOMA Baltimore members can rely on Constellation for competitively priced electricity supply and the tools and resources they need to better manage their overall energy use.”
