by Shane Henson — September 28, 2012— Consulting-Specifying Engineer, a magazine geared toward engineers who design mechanical, electrical, electronic and related systems for commercial, industrial and institutional projects, is pleased to announce its 2012 Product of the Year winners. These 32 individual products—selected by the magazine’s readers—were culled from a field of 98 entries. Products were released in the 2011 calendar year, nominated in February 2012, and voted on by readers starting in May 2012.
Product categories include electrical distribution; emergency, on-site, and standby power; equipment level sensors and controls; fire, life safety, and mass notification; lighting; plumbing and water management; software design, modeling, and analysis; and test instruments, meters and data loggers.
The 2012 MVP (Most Valuable Product) was awarded to VYCON for its hybrid energy storage system, the Hybrid VDC XEB.
