Ideal for behavioral health and many other healthcare facilities, the BLSS trim offers strength, durability and flexibility while minimizing patient risk in these difficult environments. Sloped surfaces and overlapping rose and lever construction allow the BLSS to address safety concerns common in many behavioral health settings, and makes it appropriate for use on patient room doors.
The BLSS trim uses the Corbin Russwin ML2000 mortise lock, which is designed to exceed ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 requirements and to provide exceptional strength and durability to withstand abusive environments.
Available in 21 functions including Passage, Privacy, Institutional/Utility, Institutional Privacy and four electrified options, the BLSS is flexible enough to be used throughout the facility, says Corbin Russwin. The ML2000 with BLSS trim also retrofits any door that has been prepared with ANSI A115.1 standard mortise door prep, making it ideal for changing room requirements.
According to the company, the ML2000 mortise lock with BLSS trim is UL Listed for use with Fire Rated doors, and is also ADA compliant, meeting A117.1 Accessibility Code and BOMA International 4.13.8.
Microshield, an optional antimicrobial coating, provides necessary protection desired in healthcare; and a matching thumbturn rounds out the look and feel of the trim, says Corbin Russwin. The BLSS trim is also covered by an extensive, 10-year limited warranty.
