The following honors were awarded:
- Sustainable Leadership and Design Award: to Space Matrix Design Consultants for its work with the TZed project, an ecologically conscious apartment enclave in the Whitefield suburb of Bangalore, India, that boasts the first LEED Platinum-rated residential apartment, centrally air-conditioned (with no CFC and HCFC), no water supply from the outside, and waste treated and reused.
- Economic Development Leadership Award: to the Kansas City Area Development Council for achieving a new economic growth opportunity for Kansas City that resulted in the Kansas City Animal Health Corridor, and gaining recognition as the world’s largest concentration of animal health industry assets with one-third of the global industry sales.
- Industry Excellence Award: to WICELY for its Activity-Based Office Optimization Toolkit (ABOOT), which provides businesses with a scientific method for accurately measuring and assessing the activities within the mobile workspace, giving organizations the ability to define the type and amount of space required without having to rely solely on what can be insufficient data based on occupancy levels alone.
