The partnership is expected to help make the moving-in process easier for individuals in multifamily housing.
CORT provides transition services across the nation and around the world, including furniture rental for home and office, event furnishings, destination services, apartment locating, touring and other services designed to simplify the moving-in process.
Updater provides custom technology to individuals moving in to a new home or apartment through an easy-to-use platform. These services include forwarding mail, updating businesses with new addresses, sharing moving announcements with friends and family, connecting Internet and utilities, and more.
The leaders of both CORT and Updater expressed excitement about the partnership and its expected benefits for customers and were complimentary about the other company, with CORT saying that Updater has proven to be a “great asset to the multifamily industry,” and Updater noting that CORT is known throughout the industry for “providing world-class service in a very personalized and customized way.”
